Emotes

Syntax: emote (message)

Whatever string you type in will be given to every one in the room with you following your name. Thus the command:

emote sits down and relaxes

will look like:

Brian sits down and relaxes  (where your character name is substituted for Brian.)

Cost for players under level 20: 3 social points
For immortals and high mortals: free

Shoutemote

Syntax: shoutemote (message)

Very similar to emote above, except that everyone on the mud hears/'sees' what you emote. This costs a minimum of 30 sps (more if you also use colors), so use it only if necessary.
